Hi there! So happy the long holiday weekend is here! I'm looking forward to fun times with my family. Today I have a layout to share featuring my sweet boy Griffin :)
I combined a couple beautiful colors of ColourArte Radiant Rain Shimmering Mists: Teal Zircon and Sea Foam to create a fun and colorful background along with fab 7 Dots Studio papers:
I framed Griffin with a resin frame with beautiful gold highlights that were created using ColourArte Emperor's Gold Dimensional Gel:
Love the pretty water color looking background that I created with lots of layers of the ColourArte Radiant Rain Shimmering Mists listed above:
Flowers from my stash, a resin butterfly and die cut foliage were used to embellish the page:

For sketch inspiration, I joined along with the current Sketchabilities sketch challenge:
For color inspiration, I joined along with the current Scraps N Pieces challenge:
For theme inspiration, I joined along with the current scrapki-wyzwaniowo challenge where the theme is all about Bubbles (I used a Bubble stencil and several acrylic bubble embellishments):

joy....a ColourArte tutorial 26

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, May 19, 2015 @ 8:20 AM | , , ,

Hi there! I hope you are having a great week! Now that we are nearly settled in our new home, I have more time to create so I made a colorful and dimensional project to share featuring a variety of ColourArte products including several of the newly released products: Silks Acrylic Glaze:Apple BlossomPlum Blossom and Radiant rain Shimmering Mistapple blossom along with many other fabulous ColourArte products listed below.
I combined the colorful ColourArte products with a variety of flowers, a Gina's Designs chipboard dressform and lots of texture:
I love the elegant Gina's Designs chipboard dressform so much, that I couldn't resist creating another project featuring the pretty piece again. In case you missed my previous project, click here:
I altered the chipboard piece using Silks Acrylic Glaze Silver Bells and chunky embossing enamel then for a touch of elegance, I embellished with a pearl necklace and fluffy feather:
For the sentiment, I used a Spellbinders bezel filled with chunky glass glitter and Ice Resin.
The skirt was made using flowers from my stash and were colored using the following ColourArte productsSilks Acrylic GlazeWisteriaPink GrapefruitSolar GoldApple BlossomPlum BlossomSilver BellsRadiant rain Shimmering Mistapple blossompeach fuzzplumeria:

Here are several steps I took along the way sharing my creative process:
Once canvas was prepped with Gesso, collaged tissue paper and modeling paste for texture, I randomly applied Silks Acrylic GlazeWisteriaPink GrapefruitSolar GoldApple BlossomPlum BlossomRadiant rain Shimmering Mistapple blossompeach fuzzplumeria. Layering and layering until the desired look was achieved:
Once background was created, I applied the chipboard piece and flowers then randomly applied Silks Acrylic GlazeWisteriaPink GrapefruitSolar GoldApple BlossomPlum Blossom:
For added depth and dimension, I applied Radiant rain Shimmering Mistapple blossom and plumeria:
For the final touch, I randomly applied Silks Acrylic Glaze Solar Gold and splattered with white acrylic paint:
I'm joining along with the current Artist Trading Post challenge where the theme is to use an object found in nature ~ feather ~ and one product from the ATP store ~ Ice Resin.
For color inspiration, I joined along with the current Words & Paintery challenge:
Many thanks for visiting ~ I hope you enjoyed my project! I'll be back Thursday for an all new ColourArte project to share!

Be Sweet ;)

Dream 26

Mona Pendleton | Sunday, May 17, 2015 @ 2:38 AM | , ,

Hi there! I hope you are having a great weekend! Today I have a card to share that I made for sweet Meredith in celebration of her upcoming high school graduation next week.
I combined beautiful ColourArte products along with a Gina's Designs chipboard dressform:
I painted the chipboard piece with Gesso, applied crackle paste, waited for the paste to work it's magic then gave it a final application using ColourArte Silver Bells Silks Acrylic Glaze:
I randomly applied ColourArte Silver Bells Silks Acrylic Glaze along with ColourArte Lemondrop Primary Elements to the background then activated with misted water. Once the card was assembled, I embellished with a trio of white flowers from my stash which I custom colored using ColourArte Lemondrop Silks Acrylic Glaze:
For color and theme inspiration, I joined along with the current Fusion challenge: French Twist
and for sketch inspiration, I joined along with the current retrosketches sketch challenge:
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
