Holiday Hoppin' with Spellbinders Day 2 613

Mona Pendleton | Friday, November 19, 2010 @ 6:45 AM | ,

Hi there! Welcome to the second day of the Spellbinders™ Paper Arts Holiday Hoppin’ Blog Hop!  Spellbinders, along with their Cross Promotional Partners are showcasing their newest products just in time for your Holiday crafting and gift giving.  Lots of creative ideas are in store, as well as prizes galore!  Each participating company has generously donated towards the prize package listed on the Spellbinders Blog.  A total of two identical prize packages, one for each day, November 18 and 19 will be given away!  To enter, just leave a comment on a participating blog!  Comments in the first 48 hours of the post are eligible.  One commenter each day will be randomly selected as the winner.  Winners will be announced on November 22, on the Spellbinders Blog!

Today, I am using Spellbinders S4-291 Labels Fifteen die template and S4-286 2010 Snowflake Pendants die template. The S4-291 Labels Fifteen die template includes SIX various sized die templates valued at $24.99 MSRP or $4.17/die template. All may be used to cut/emboss and stencil. The S4-286 2010 Snowflake Pendants die template is an intricate snowflake design for the Shapeabilities® Pendants line. This highly detailed 12-sided snowflake has a center circle for stamping, writing or layering of other die template elements.

I decorated this little wooden house using both the Spellbinders S4-291 Labels Fifteen and S4-286 2010 Snowflake Pendants die templates.
To create the outermost window, I cut a piece of Cosmo Cricket Breezy Freezy snowflake patterned paper to size, positioned and secured a S4-291 Labels Fifteen die template in place and ran through the GC-001 Grand Calibur to cut/emboss the window. After painting the wooden house, I adhered the darling Cosmo Cricket Breezy Freezy snowflake patterned paper in place using Sparkle N Sprinkle Brushable Glue, then sponged the edges with distressing ink.

To create the inside window, I flipped over the original cut piece and adhered to the house then I stamped the snowman image and sentiment from Waltzingmouse Sewing Box - Christmas set on Kraft cardstock, using a S4-291 Labels Fifteen die template to cut/emboss around the images and set aside. I stamped the snowman image a second time on Vintage Cream cardstock, using Copic Markers to color the image then using a sharp scissors, I cut him out and adhered him to the Kraft colored label with SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES By 3L 3D Foam Squares.
I adorned the little house with shimmery snowflakes that were cut using the S4-286 2010 Snowflake Pendants die templates. I inked them up with VersaMark ink, applied some Sparkle N Sprinkle Stickum Powder, sprinkled on glitter and fastened a pearl brad in the center of each.
